GO CHECK THIS APP OUT!

I discovered this holiday app a few weeks ago on the app store and it's really cool so I think you should go download it! It's called 12 days of gifts by iTunes! For 12 days starting the 26th you get some kind of free gift. The description says it could be a book, music, movie, etc. Today I got a pre gift for free. I got a Lorde single and music video!! I won't get anything else until the 26th but I was really impressed with the first gift! The app itself is free and says items may vary by country.
*Each gift is only up for 24 hours (maybe this one too)

(this is what the app looks like not my picture)

I'll keep you updated on what gifts I receive!

Lea Michelle's "Cannonball"

I will admit when Lea announced she was going to release a solo album I was pretty excited! I use to LOVE Glee (not so much now but that's another story). Her album Louder isn't due until March of 2014. She recently released her first single Cannonball. I like it! Its even better when she preformed it on Ellen. Go watch it now! If you haven't heard the single give it a listen!

Catching Fire REVIEW *WARNING SPOILERS*

(not my photos!)
Back in 8th grade I read the series. Fell in LOVE with the series. I saw the Hunger Games movie right when it came out and was slightly disappointed (the book is SO much better). Naturally when Catching Fire was about to come out, I reread C.F again. It is my least favorite book of the series (for what ever reason the middle book/movie is always my least favorite) Side note: Mockingjay is my favorite.

Thursday I went to an 8 o'clock showing of C.F. I LOVED THE MOVIE! I thought it stuck closer to the book than Hunger Games did. I also enjoyed the movie itself better than H.G. C.F was quicker paced and spent more time in the arena (which is where all the action is). I thought the casting was amazing! The cast chemistry (on and off screen) was perfect. Seriously just Youtube the interviews they WILL make you at least smile!

The movie is 2 hours and 26 minutes and I enjoyed every second. Of course there were slight differences between the book and movie. I will now tell you some of the ones I noticed and why I did/didn't like them. They aren't in any order just what floated into my head.

{SPOILERS}

Mags death was quicker- This was done to obviously to save time and it isn't necessarily a BIG deal but I like Mags and it would of been nice to see her the extra minutes (:

No mention of Haymitch's games or Maysilee Donner- Neither movie has had character background which I want! To save time again they just move from reaping to arena. I WOULD have liked to have seen Haymitch in the games and them watching the tapes just for the reason I think it affects the relationship and shows Haymitch as more than just a drunk mentor. Him becoming a victor would add more dimension to his character I think.

Beach scene- They didn't leave this scene out. I was just disappointed in the way they handled it. I was expecting more and more time spent on it. Again I'm sure it was for time reason. I KNOW they can't put everything in the movies but in the book its such a big scene and beautiful I think they could have handled it a little better.

Johanna Mason quote- In the book my FAVORITE quote by her is "I don't care if you're knocked up or not I'll still rip your throat out." I would of liked to see that in the movie just to show how Katniss and her don't get along. Plus I just like the quote in general. I DO like how Johanna was portrayed in the movie. Just a little thing I would of liked to see.

Mentioning the "baby"- In the movie they only mention the baby like once. Finnick is suppose to mention it as well as Peeta. I feel like after the initial news broke they never really brought it up again (hence the reason above). Again this isn't a big deal it just made it an easily forgettable detail.

Clues about a secret plan- In the book Plutarch Heavensbee shows Katniss a mockingjay watch and discreetly tells her clues about the arena and shows her that he is on her side (even though she doesn't know it at the time). I really wanted this part to be in the movie. Also is would helped people who haven't read the book a suspicious feeling. They also didn't use the bread signals that indicated how much time was left in the arena. I'm OK with them not including that but I still would of liked to see it just for showing how elaborate and planned this escape was.

Again Peeta's leg- It makes me SOOO angry they didn't have Peeta's leg injury in the H.G. Which also means it couldn't of been in this movie. Personally I think its a big detail that can explain a lot of why Peeta isn't very coordinated and why Katniss sees him as "injured".

Katniss sees what Peeta does during evalution- Katniss isn't suppose to see what Peeta does before she "hangs" Seneca Crane. I think it shows how alike Katniss and Peeta think and I would of liked it more if they had stuck to the book. Its not a huge deal once again just something I noticed and missed.

So that is all the things I saw/remembered. I'm sure there are more (feel free to leave them below). My favorite things were of course Peeta (he is perfect),
really all the characters were amazing. The ending was GREAT. I AM NOT ready for "hijacked" Peeta! I liked the way they handled the President Snow at Katniss's house scene. The costumes were GREAT. I realllly loved all the scenes Johanna was in. She just brings hilarious things to the scenes.

Overall you NEEEEED to go see the movie! It is so good even if you haven't read the books. If you haven't read the books you need to stop living under a rock and DO IT! Thanks for reading this I know it was long!

Influenster

I've been playing with this site called Influenster recently. It is a website that has tons of reviews on all kinds of products posted by members of the site. You earn "points" which is like credibility. To earn more points you complete tasks and surveys. You can also qualify for Vox Boxes which have a variety of products to try out and review. I have not gotten box yet (you are not guaranteed anything).

To join this site you need to be invited. I still have 5 invites so if you would like to join comment your email down below and I'll send you an invite.

I really like the site so far! I came across it from one of my Youtubers. Here's her video Influenster Vox Box . After watching it I thought it would be interesting to join.

I really like all the reviews they have on a HUGE range of products (from t.v shows to makeup to cds). I highly recommend the website!

Here's a link to the site

Saving money!

I recently heard about this great site called ebates.com that gives you cash back on your purchases! I'm still pretty new with it so I don't know everything about it but from what I do know you go on the site and click on their links to the store and checkout normally. Since you used their link you will be rewarded with cash back with ranging percentages (2%, 4%, etc.). I'm sure not every store is on there but I saw A LOT that I would order from including Sephora, Amazon, and Target! It's super easy to use and I was recommend to this by a trusted friend so it IS legitimate. They also have coupon codes for additional savings! If you do decide to join use my link! (I'm not really sure how I'll be rewarded but it couldn't hurt right?).
Here's the link! Please check it out if you're interested http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=GU7XB6Ehc4DkoS3aG06wjA%3D%3D
I think this will be great for the upcoming holiday season so go get a jump on your shopping now!

I'm sorry I don't blog much! I'll try and do more!

Yours Truly by Ariana Grande review

Ariana Grande, from Nickelodeon's Sam & Cat, debut album!
picture from Itunes

Very solid album! I'd give it an A. It has been compared to Mariah Carey and is classified as pop. Collabs with Big Sean, Mac Miller, Nathan Skyes, and MIKA are featured.

Track list:
Honeymoon Avenue
Baby I
Right there ft. Big Sean
Tattooed Heart
Lovin' it
Piano
Daydreamin'
The way ft. Mac Miller
You'll never know
Almost is never enough ft. Nathan Skyes
Popular Song ft. MIKA
Better left unsaid

My favorite songs are the first three and Lovin' it. My absolute favorite would have to be Right there! Its a nice bouncy song that got stuck in my head the whole day. The way came out as a single so its kind of played out and you've probably heard it already. I do believe Baby I came out as a single too but more recently. I would defiantly recommend this album if you love pop music!

Sorry it took so long to post this!

Bonus Buy

At Dillard's the bonus buy, for this month maybe, is Clinique! Not sure about you but I LOVE some Clinique! They're sample sizes are the BEST!
If you spend $25 you get a choice of two different sample bags. (I made it really big so you could get a good look. Hope it helps!)

This is the "neutral" one

This is the "violet" one (it is more violet in person)
Both sets came with an eye cream, foaming cleanser(that supposedly takes off makeup), eye shadow duo, eyeliner, lipstick, high impact mascara, and of course the decently sized bag.

The difference between the two is the eye shadow duos are in different shades (neutral- buttered toast violet- day into date), the eyeliners are two different colors (neutral- green violet- brown). Also the lipsticks (neutral- more of a nude violet- more berry).

I ended up getting the violet one. My mom gave me the eye shadow, mascara, and cleanser. I wish the eye shadows were swapped. The mascara I've tried before (I now have three samples of them lol). I must warn you the mascara is a very wet formula so you have to be careful and its NOT waterproof. The bag was not as cute as ones in the past have been. I thought they would of done more of a fall bag but its whatever still a good deal!

If you need to repurchase or want to try new products then I recommend this since its a good deal! Like I said the sample sizes are the best I've tried! They recently came out with new eye shadow quads, trios, and duos. Also new nail polish which I would love to try! Their formulas are formulated for those of you with sensitive skin so its good for everyone!

Random Thoughts:
Hope you enjoyed this
Really want to get my hands on the new Wet n Wild collection
I had no homework tonight which is weird!!!

Favorite YouTubers: Beauty

I love watching YouTube videos! So, I thought I could share who I LOVE watching and then you could check them out and tell me yours. Keep in mind I'm only 15 so I try and watch younger YouTubers.

Macbarbie07 - If you haven't heard of her, then you must live under a rock. Her monthly favorites videos are my favorite!

AlisonLovesJB - I just started watching her but she's SOOOO pretty! She also has some great tutorials.

xxmakeupiscoolxx - I found her through the NYX face awards (she's top 6). Of course she's beautiful and I really love her because we are the same age.

theforeverglamorous - I also found her through NYX (top 20, #13 overall). Do I even need to mention that she's pretty? I think it's safe to say THEY ALL ARE.

Melissa - She does a lot of higher end stuff (at least lately) but I can't go through a whole video without smiling. Seriously her personality is so fun! I found her through Beauty Broadcast (see below)

eleventhgorgeous - They are sisters who are super fun to watch! My favorite videos are ipsy vs birchbox (super informative).

grav3yardgirl - I LOVE BUNNY! She is the sass queen. I love all the people I'm listing but Bunny is probably my 2nd favorite. She is not really like me style wise but she's still fun to watch and can still give good information.

thatgirlshaexo - I also found her from the face awards. She really likes dramatic makeup which I don't but I still like her! I like watching people with different styles as well as my style.

beautypolice101 - another face awards (also top 6) She does great tag videos and the first face awards contestant I really liked. She is good friends with xxmakeupiscoolxx!

AprilAthena7 - She is so sunny and cheery! I love her personality. Plus her and her husband are so cute.

BeautyBroadcast - She is my FAVORITE beauty guru! I religiously watch her videos and have to say she is the best at reviews. I trust everything she says. I've even bought a lot of products she recommends! You should defiantly check her out.

So did you guys enjoy my list? Sorry they're not in a specific order I just went down the line of my YouTube subscriptions. Please comment people you love watching!

Random Thoughts:
I may also do other lists of YouTubers I love.

Grown Ups 2 Review!

It rhymed lol (:
movie poster!

I LOVED this movie! It was so funny. I laughed the whole way through basically in tears. I liked it better than the first. It also had Taylor Lautner and Alexander Ludwig which are nice to look at (: I do think this has more of a like teen/boy sense of humor so adults may not find it as funny? Also it has a lot of cringe-worthy humor(just a warning). My mom also saw it and she liked it but not better than the first and as much as me.
I love Adam Sandler and really want to meet him someday. I think this is a great summer movie so go see it. Let me know what you think down below.

Random thoughts:
I might work on my YouTube channel tomorrow!(heyitstay19 fyi)
I might do a review on newish music for the blog.
I'm really doubting I'll ever post my 1D concert experience (too many feels I think).

STAY TUNED!

My first ULTA experience!

So, I love watching makeup/beauty vlogs on Youtube. Every makeup guru in the history of gurus talk about Ulta it seems. The closest Ulta to me is about 30 minutes away but my cousins live about 10 minutes away so after seeing them I went with my mom.
I had to take a picture whatta nerd lol side note: iphone 5 camera is no joke right?

I was SOOOO disappointed! I had been excited to go since everyone talks about how they go. I normally go to Sephora since its closer.
The reason I was disappointed was they were REARRANGING the store so you couldn't get access to the drugstore products!!!! I think once they finish/fix that mess I'll love it. You could get the high end products which are nice to look at but I can't afford :( So the things I went/wanted to see, I couldn't. I wanted to cry. Is that too dramatic? Can you tell I love makeup?
Anyways, I'm going to give it another try in like a month and hopefully they have their stuff together! Leave comments below telling me what products you love at Ulta (high end or drugstore)
If someone else could tell me they had this happen to them I'd be very happy and it'd help the heartbreak lol.

Book Review: Dash & Lily's Book of Dares

I read Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan.
photo from Amazon

Synopsis(from goodreads): “I’ve left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.”

So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the bestselling authors of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?

Rachel Cohn and David Levithan have written a love story that will have readers perusing bookstore shelves, looking and longing for a love (and a red notebook) of their own

Review:
3.5 out of 5 stars
Likes: The way it was written between Dash & Lily's point of view, Lily's character, the concept of the book, quick read
Dislikes: Dash's character, the way it ended
The book was a little heavier than I thought it'd be (a little more thinking and emotional). I read Naomi and Eli's No Kiss List by David, and I felt the same way towards the book. It's kind of hard to put into words other than the book is just ok.

Movie Review: Monster's University

Monster's Inc is my favorite Disney movie! Sulley is my fave(: So, you could imagine my excitement for Monster's University. My mom surprised me by taking me the first day it came out. I LOVED the movie! Keep in mind it is kids movie so you should treat it as such. I'm a sucker for a good Disney movie. I loved this prequel as much as the original. I found it funnier than I thought I would. I also enjoyed the plot. I suggest you go see it! (I do not own these pictures.)

Can't wait for the DVD. (:
